MMDG STUDENT COMPANY

Billy has had the great joy of training, and working with the Student Company at The Mark Morris Dance Center for over 10 years.  He has created numerous original works with these bright young talents and staged many of Mark Morris' own dances as well.

Students are fostered here in a cooperative and supportive environment where they feel the room to grow into more confident, musical, and well-rounded young adults.

**Billy has made it his mission to give students the experience of working in a professional environment.  In-depth technical training and study of dance and its relationship to music are central.  Each year, he commissions composers to write and perform original music in collaboration with his students, adding another element of the professional experience.**

Classes and rehearsals with the MMDG Student Company continue to be a highlight for Billy as a teacher, creator and collaborator.
